Bio
Mr. Bell had worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s in the Federal Government, for over thirty nine years, as a Scientific and Technical Photographer. Mr. Bell has worked as a forensic studio photographer photographing evidence for the examiners of the FBI’s famous Laboratory Division and as a operational photographer traveling the world photographing locations that was being investigated by the agency. After he retired, he started his own photography business, serving the real estate market and the families that served the industry.
His older brother started his interest in photography after giving him a Polaroid camera for the holiday when he was eight. Mr. Bell believes in giving back and volunteering with the Shooting Back for the Arts where he used his time teaching photography and being a big brother to the young adults of the Washington, D.C. area.
Mr. Bell has solid photographic training, from several institutions here in the United States and Europe. Received a Bachelor of Science degree in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology and studied photography at the prestigious, Salzburg College in Salzburg, Austria.
Mr. Bell has maintained his skills by attending seminars across the country in places like Santa Fa Photographic Workshops and The Maine Media Workshops. Mr. Bell has also asked to provide instruction on photographic techniques over the years and believes, "Once you stop learning you should get out of the business."
Mr. Bell has achieved the status of Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America. This has been the second time achieving this status after he returned to the leading photography organization. after a brief departure.
He has provided assistance and photographic work for local businesses, theater companies, and other photography studios. Mr. Bell continues to challenge his ability and learn from his fellow photographers and develop new avenues for his creativity.
